Attorney Hacker has exclusively practiced family law throughout her career, representing clients through all aspects of divorce litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has substantial experience working with complex financial assets, business valuations, and intra-state jurisdictional issues. Attorney Hacker also represents clients in appellate cases, including Hague cases.
Attorney Ashleigh M. Hacker completed both her undergraduate degree and law degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In 2013 she earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and Sociology as well as a Certificate in Criminal Justice. In 2018 she earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude.
Prior to joining Balisle Family Law Legal Counsel, S.C. Attorney Hacker worked for the Family Law Project, a clinical program of the Frank D. Remington Center, assisting incarcerated individuals with family law matters. She also worked for the City of Madison Mayor’s Office where she collaborated with city residents and staff to address important community issues and contributed to policy reports and initiatives.
Attorney Hacker currently serves as Vice Chair to the State Bar of Wisconsin Legal Assistance Committee and is a member of the Equal Justice Conference Subcommittee. She is also a voting member of the City of Madison Vending Oversight Committee and is active in The Business Forum where she serves on the Special Events Subcommittee.
